Last fall I had the honor of illustrating good friend and science writer Madeline McCurry-Schmidt’s article “How Pandemics End” in the La Jolla Institute for Immunology’s publication Immune Matters. It was a fascinating project requiring lots of reading and research into several pandemics in human history.
